An integrated program composed of 3 terms, Autumn, Winter and Spring plus an optional Summer Intensive.
There are four key performance times throughout the year ~
The Yuletide Story Feast ~ At the turning of the year, all Tir-na-nOg groups join together to celebrate the work of the Autumn term, combining performances of a co-operative Tir-na-nOg play, with an informal pot-luck tea and a silent auction fun-d-raiser. This occasion is also an opportunity for students to sign up for the Annual Playwright Challenge in 2021.
The Youth Festival of Plays ~ A joyful celebration of plays, performed by the students for community audiences and schools.
The Summer Stage Intensive ~ an uplifting occasion for the community to view the work of students as they perform a full length play over the Labour Day weekend.
The Annual Playwright Jam ~ The Playwright Challenge is an optional program in the Tir-na-nOg Theatre School’s yearly cycle. Each submitted play must be the original work of the student. The play can be any length, style or format. Once the plays have been handed in, we meet together, read each the plays, discuss plans and possible hurdles and help prepare the productions for the Tir-na-nOg stage. The young playwrights support each other as actors, backstage helpers and directors, if they so wish, and sometimes invite their friends to help, where it seems appropriate.
